Primary Purpose
Product Resource Representative (PRR) is the entry level position in the Technical Services department. The Product Resource Representative is provided an extended training to promote success with the wide variety of technical services Tnemec offers to customers.
Duties and Responsibilities
Listed below are the primary duties that will be performed:
- Complete training agenda to learn about Tnemec products in regard to their specification, application, and performance attributes.
- Complete other training agendas to learn about the coating industry overall in regard to:
- Coatings technology
- Application and equipment techniques
- Inspection equipment and techniques
- Test methods and equipment
- Advanced written and verbal communication skills
- Perform department tasks as assigned including technical services such as:
- Product complaint investigation
- Product support via telephone and e-mail correspondence
- Laboratory work including:
- Material application evaluations (MAEs)
- Formal adhesion testing of Tnemec products over various products and substrates.
- Product demonstrations.
- Ad hoc product testing
- Lab and equipment cleaning and maintenance
- Product support via written correspondence including:
- Technical Service Preliminary Research Summary
- Reports on generic analysis and overcoat analysis
- Customer form letters
- Provide support for the training of:
- Customers
- Agency Representatives new hires
- Technical services new hires
Qualifications
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years industrial floor coating application experience.
- Excellent attendance - Documented attendance of no more than forty-eight (48) hours missed in the preceding twelve (12) month rolling period.
- History of high-quality performance in current position - Documented overall performance rating of “Good” or better for the preceding two (2) performance evaluations.
- Basic math skills.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively using both verbal and written English.
- Aptitude for basic mechanical skills.
- Microsoft Office experience and ability
- Ability to complete assignments independently with little supervision.
- Ability to work collaboratively with team members to complete group assignments and achieve department goals and objectives.
- Ability to move objects up to 100 lbs.
- Ability to work well with a wide range of personalities.
- Willingness to remain customer-focused in confrontational scenarios.
- Willingness to travel regularly on company business sometimes for extended periods of time.
