Job Summary:
The Market Manager will help establish and expand our company's presence in the water and wastewater industry. The Market Manager will be responsible for driving growth and profitability by identifying and developing new business opportunities, establishing, and maintaining strong customer relationships, and effectively promoting our products and services. Additionally, the Market Manager will educate, support, and train the independent sales representative network to ensure that they are equipped to effectively sell the company's products and services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute strategic plans to increase sales and market share in the water and wastewater industry.
- Identify and prioritize new business opportunities, such as new products, market segments, and partnerships.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, including contractors.
- Provide technical and commercial support to customers and ensure that their needs are met.
- Conduct market research to understand industry trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape.
- Develop and deliver sales presentations and product demonstrations to customers.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product development, technical service, and marketing, to ensure product and service offerings meet customer requirements.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators, such as sales revenue, market share, and customer satisfaction.
- Attend trade shows and industry events to network with potential customers and stay up-to-date on industry trends and developments.
- Educate, support, and train the independent sales representative network to ensure they are equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to effectively sell the company's products and services.
- Provide sales tools, product training, and ongoing support to the independent sales representative network.
- Monitor the performance of the independent sales representative network, providing feedback and coaching as necessary.
- Ensure that the independent sales representative network is meeting the company's sales and growth objectives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales, marketing, or business development in the water and water tank industry, preferably in the paint and protective coatings sector.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Strong technical knowledge of coatings and surface preparation in water tank applications.
- Experience in project management and a proven track record of successful project delivery.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to travel as required.
- Travel up to 40%.
