Dan O’Toole is a veteran in the industry with over 35 years of experience in the sales, management, marketing and production of high-performance coatings. Dan joined the Tnemec team after the 2018 acquisition of ProPolymer Coatings, where he was a founding owner and general manager for five years. Before ProPolymer, Dan worked nineteen years at another coating manufacturer, where he spent time as a national market manager, regional sales manager and a direct sales representative. Dan started his career in St. Louis with the former Porter Coatings (Louisville, KY), spending 15 years with the company, including the final six years in Chicago as a zone manager, where Dan, and several others, started the SSPC Midwest Chapter and became Chapter Chair. During his long career, Dan has published several technical papers and been active in SSPC, NACE, AWWA and WEF. Outside of the coating world, he enjoys golf, fishing, tennis, motor sports and visiting thoroughbred race tracks around the country. When not at Tnemec, Dan is busy with three grown children and five grandchildren, all fortunately still living nearby.
